This Privacy Policy explains how EarnWhile ("we", "us", "our"), operated under the parent entity neetmaxima, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the EarnWhile browser extension and the associated Earning Dashboard ("Service"). By installing or using EarnWhile, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. What EarnWhile Does
EarnWhile is a browser extension that displays a small, manually-reviewed sponsored ad card while an AI chat tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, or Perplexity) is generating a response, and credits the user with a share of the ad revenue for genuinely viewed ads.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information strictly necessary to operate this Service: identifying your account, crediting your earnings accurately, and preventing fraudulent or bot-generated ad views. We do not collect any information beyond what is listed below.
2.1 Personally Identifiable Information
- Email address — collected when you sign in with your Google account via Firebase Authentication, used to identify your account and associate your earnings with you.
- Google account ID (UID) — a unique identifier issued by Firebase Authentication after sign-in, used as your account key.
We do not collect your name, physical address, phone number, or any government identification unless you separately provide it for payout purposes on the Earning Dashboard (e.g., a UPI ID or bank detail you choose to submit).
2.2 User Activity (Ad Interaction Data)
To verify genuine ad engagement and prevent bots or fraudulent activity from generating false earnings, we record:
- Whether a sponsored ad card was viewed and/or clicked.
- The approximate time an ad view started and how long it remained visible on screen (used to confirm a "qualified" view before crediting earnings).
- Which supported website (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) the ad was shown on, so per-site earnings can be tracked.
We do not track your general browsing activity. This data collection is strictly limited to your interaction with the sponsored ad card itself. We do not log mouse movement, scrolling, keystrokes, or any activity unrelated to the ad card.
2.3 Device Identifier
We generate a random, locally-created device identifier ("deviceId") stored in your browser and linked to your account. This is used solely to detect if the same device is being used to operate multiple accounts, which would violate our one-account-per-person policy (see our Terms & Conditions). It does not identify you personally beyond this fraud-prevention purpose.
2.4 Earnings and Usage Data
- Your running earnings total, broken down per supported AI site ("site totals").
- Timestamps of when your ad data or approved-ads list was last refreshed.
2.5 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not read, store, or transmit your AI prompts, AI responses, or any part of your conversation with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, or Perplexity.
- We do not collect your general web browsing history.
- We do not collect financial/payment card details, health information, or personal communications (emails, texts, messages) through the extension.
- We do not store your Google account password — authentication is handled entirely by Google and Firebase; we only receive a secure session token.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) and processed via Firebase Cloud Functions. Some data (login session, earnings, preferences) is also cached locally in your browser using the chrome.storage.local API so the extension works reliably offline and loads quickly.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data for purposes unrelated to operating this Service, and we do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for any lending purpose.
We use the following third-party service providers strictly to operate the Service:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage) — for account login, data storage, and backend processing.
- Payment gateways (for advertiser wallet top-ups) — used only on the advertiser side of the platform; viewer/user earnings data is not shared with these gateways.
Advertisers whose ads appear in the extension do not receive any of your personal data — they only receive aggregate, anonymized performance numbers (e.g., total views/clicks on their ad) via their own dashboard.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data, earnings history, and ad-interaction data for as long as your account remains active, so your earnings history stays accurate. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personally identifiable information from our systems, subject to any minimal records we are legally required to retain (e.g., for fraud investigation or financial record-keeping).
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You can turn sponsored ads off at any time using the toggle in the extension popup.
- You can log out at any time, which clears your session and earnings data from local browser storage.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us (see Section 9).
8. Children's Privacy
EarnWhile is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
